Fiddler’s Hoedown was originally written to accompany a country dance scene in a theatrical production in 1999. Steve Burch composed the original bluegrass fiddle piece for Little House on the Prairie, based on the book of the same name and written by Laura Ingalls Wilder. With solos for violin and cello, the piece showcases some of our section leaders as well as the full orchestra.
