My favorite West Virginia fiddle tune, one that I learned directly from Dave Bing at last summer’s Augusta Old Time Week. It’s an Ernie Carpenter tune with a rather sad background. That’s KJ’s 1946 Willys. Without heater, or brakes, she plowed snow for many a long winter here in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and now rests quietly along the Michigamme River shore. GDGD tuning.
