Video (clip 3) of the Fiddler’s Hoedown Jamboree which was held on 1/14/2012 from 3 to 10PM at the VFW hall, 12735 US 31 North in Charlevoix, MI. This video was recorded using a Kodak Zi6 camera mounted on a microphone stand, using a spring-clip type microphone holder (very handy to use this way with pocket size video cameras!). As I was one of the fiddlers, I left the camera to fend for itself. Sorry that the framing wasn’t more toward center, but there was no way to check the camera and play at the same time. The Zi6 also has a narrower field of vision than the Flip. This clip was recorded in VGA mode. Earlier clips I uploaded were recorded using a Flip Mino HD which has a wider-angle lens and also does a better job indoors with existing light. Unfortunately, there was no way for me to recharge the battery on the Flip Mino. Fiddlers took turns performing individually, and also as a group. In the evening, a square dance was held.
